What an FS-1 is?

The FS-1 is a North Carolina certificate of insurance. The North Carolina DMV asks for it to confirm that a vehicle is insured, usually when you are registering a vehicle or clearing a notice about a lapse in coverage. It only applies to vehicles registered in North Carolina.

How to request one?
