✅ Covered Remediation Activities
This endorsement covers the costs for a licensed pest control professional to perform the following specific activities resulting from a confirmed bed bug infestation in the resident premises:

Treatment: Treat the infested resident premises.

Prevention: Seal off and treat immediately adjacent properties to prevent further infestations during treatment.

Disposal: Properly dispose of infested property.

Inspection (Confirmation): Inspect the property to confirm the elimination of bed bugs.
🏠 Loss of Rent Coverage
If the resident premises is uninhabitable due to a confirmed bed bug infestation, the policy will cover loss of rent.

Loss of Rent Definition: The fair rental value of that part of the resident premises rented to others or held for rental by you, less any expenses that do not continue while the premises are uninhabitable.

Payment Duration: Payment will be for the lesser of the shortest time required to seal and treat the resident premises, or 7 days.
🛑 What is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
The following items are excluded from coverage under this specific endorsement:

Bodily Injury: Any bodily injury arising out of or contributed to by a bed bug or bed bug infestation.

Personal Property Damage: Damage to your personal property (e.g., furniture, clothing).
- Cost of Relocation: The cost of relocation and stay in a hotel or another accommodation.

Off-Premises Damage: Property damage that occurs off the resident premises.

Routine/Ongoing Costs: Routine or ongoing remediation of the resident premises.

Detection Costs: The cost of inspections solely to detect or verify the presence of bed bugs at the resident premises (initial confirmation inspection must be performed by a licensed professional as a prerequisite for coverage, but subsequent confirmation of elimination is covered).
💰 Deductible and Occurrence Limit

Deductible: We will pay for a covered loss only when it exceeds the applicable deductible shown on the Declarations Page.

Maximum Payment: The total amount we will pay for remediation and loss of rent for any one occurrence will not exceed the Occurrence Limit shown on your Declarations Page.

Limit on Occurrences: The policy will pay for only one occurrence during any 12-month period for a covered property.
