Overview of Filing a Claim

There are four easy steps to filing a claim with SmartSTR Insurance:


  1. Report the damage. Do this as soon as possible, it will ensure a smoother claims experience.
  2. Provide supporting documentation. The more information and proof of damage you can provide, the better. A detailed description of the damage and any photos are always helpful.
  3. Claim review. A claims examiner will review your claim. They may reach out to you for additional information or to ask questions, if needed. Replying quickly to this outreach will expedite the process.
  4. Claim determination is made. Your claim will be approved or denied based on the information provided.

Helpful Tips When Filing a Claim:

  • Provide insight on the damage and how it was reported
  • Provide proof of damage by including photos
    • Giving perspective on the scope of damage will help with claim processing
  • Provide an invoice or receipt for the repair or replacement
  • Please note that repair should be attempted before the replacement of the damaged item
