Understanding Your Coverage
Shipper’s interest insurance is designed to protect your vehicle, not just the carrier’s responsibility. With TrustedTransport, your vehicle is covered against many risks that can happen during transit, subject to policy terms and exclusions.
Covered examples include:
- Collision or overturn of the transport truck
- Damage during loading or unloading
- Theft or vandalism
- Fire during transit
- Reasonable towing and up to 5 days of storage related to covered damage
Not covered:
- Pre-existing damage or normal wear and tear
- Damage from extreme weather events (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires)
- Rust, oxidation, or discoloration
- Personal items or loose goods left inside the vehicle
- Loss of value after repair (“diminished value”)
Vehicle eligibility: Coverage applies to vehicles valued up to $100,000 that are properly declared before shipment, with required pre- and post-shipment photos.
How to Use TrustedTransport
Before you ship:
- Purchase coverage when booking.
- Take clear, date- and time-stamped photos of your vehicle (all sides, top, and bottom).
During transit:
- Relax knowing your vehicle is protected.
At delivery:
- Inspect your vehicle carefully.
- Take post-shipment photos to document its condition.
Filing a Claim
If your vehicle is damaged, stolen, or otherwise lost during transit, here’s what to do:
- Report promptly — Notify our team within 7 days by emailing support@tint.ai or calling (909) 310-2685.
- Provide documentation — Have your Certificate of Insurance number, photos, and shipping documents ready.
- Review and evaluation — Our claims team will assess the documentation and determine coverage.
- Payment — Most valid claims are paid within 7 days. A flat $100 deductible applies.

FAQs
Do I still need this if the carrier has insurance?
Yes. Carrier liability insurance may be limited or disputed. TrustedTransport is primary coverage — it pays first, without waiting for the carrier’s insurer.
What if my vehicle is worth more than $100,000?
Vehicles over $100,000 are not eligible under this program. Please contact us to discuss your options.
Are personal items inside the car covered?
No. Personal items or loose goods left inside the vehicle are excluded from coverage.
Can I cancel coverage?
Yes. You may cancel coverage any time before the vehicle begins transit. Once transit has started, cancellation is not available.
