Massachusetts Registration Stamps (RTA/2A Forms): Current Status
Tint's Off-Trip Insurance Program is underwritten by R.V.I. Guaranty Co., Ltd. (RVIG) beginning on or after June 19th. In Massachusetts, Tint and RVIG are currently working with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) on implementation of the registration stamp process for the program. In the meantime, we cannot process registration stamp requests for RTA or 2A forms at this time.
What this means for you- If you've opted in to move to the updated program early, we are currently unable to move Massachusetts policies to the updated program ahead of their scheduled renewal date. Your policy will stay on its current terms and renew as scheduled on your original renewal date. Your existing coverage remains in place and continues as normal. You don't need to take any action.
- If we resolve the stamping issue before your renewal date, if the stamping issue is resolved before your renewal date, additional information and options will be communicated as they become available. Otherwise, your policy will transition automatically when it renews.
What about pricing?
Because your policy isn’t moving to the updated program until your scheduled renewal date, your current pricing stays in place until then. The updated pricing you opted in for will take effect once your policy renews. It isn’t available early, since it’s tied to the move to the updated program.
If you need a registration stamp after you renew
