❓ What should I do if I don’t see my vehicle connected on the Portal?

If you don’t see a vehicle showing as connected in the Tint portal, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

🔍 1. Check Vehicle Connection Status in the Portal

You can confirm which of your vehicles are connected directly in the Tint Portal under Car Management. Connected vehicles will be clearly labeled in both the Insured and Eligible tabs.


📡 2. Make Sure You’ve Completed All Setup Steps

If your vehicle is connected to an approved GPS provider, it’s possible that a step to allow data sharing is still pending.

🛠️ 3. Manually Mark Your Vehicle as Connected

If you've completed all the setup steps and still don’t see the vehicle as connected, you can manually update the status in the portal.

⚠️ Note: This does not replace the required setup steps with your GPS provider!

This creates a telematics authorization in our system and helps reflect your connection immediately while we wait for data to flow in from your provider.


⏳ What If My Vehicle Is Currently on Non-Telematics?

Manually marking a vehicle as connected tells us that telematics data is expected, but:

  • Your vehicle will not be moved back to telematics coverage until we begin receiving actual data from your provider.
  • Once data is received, the vehicle will automatically be transitioned back to telematics.
  • If data does not start flowing after setup, please contact Support for help or begin the GPS troubleshooting process.

📝 4. Still Not Showing as Connected?

If you're still having trouble after following the steps above, please fill out this short form for each vehicle that isn’t showing as connected. This will help our team investigate and resolve the issue quickly.
