New Insurance Provider: R.V.I. America Insurance Company
For 2026, we are transitioning to RVI as our insurance provider.
What this means for you:
- No action required to switch providers
- Coverage structure remains consistent
- Lower base rates for most hosts are enabled by this transition
New LOWER Base Rates
Off-trip insurance rates are decreasing overall in 2026—a rare change in the insurance industry and a key benefit we are driving to benefit hosts. Please note: some hosts may see their rate stay the same or have a slight increase depending on several factors such as taxes that impact your overall premium.
What to Expect
- Reduced monthly premiums across most vehicles
- Pricing will be personalized and shared with your prior to your renewal
- Savings vary based on vehicle value, utilization, and other factors
How to See Your New Rate
When your renewal (or early opt-in) becomes available:
- You’ll receive an email notification
- Your new pricing will be attached for each vehicle
- You can review rates before taking action

Billing Notes
- Policies renew automatically at your scheduled cycle
- New rates are applied at renewal
- You’ll have visibility into pricing before any charges occur
- The only action you need to take is if you do not want to renew your coverage
Your Regular Renewal Period
Unless you opt in early, your policy will renew according to your existing renewal cycle.
- No changes to your renewal date
- New rates apply automatically at that time
- No action is required unless you want to opt in early
Early Opt-In Process
You have the option to access 2026 rates early, before your scheduled renewal. We’ll be sending you notification if early opt-in is available for you. That notification will contain key information about how early opt-in works, where you must opt-in, and the rate information for your vehicles under the new plan.
How It Works
- You’ll receive a communication from Tint when eligible
- Your updated pricing will be attached
- You can choose to opt in early or stay on your current pricing
Important Considerations
- All vehicles renew together if you opt in early
- Your billing cycle will reset based on the new renewal date
- Opting in before Jun 19, 2026?
- Your new rates will go into effect on June 19, 2026 if you opt in prior to this date.
- Opting in on or after June 19, 2026?
- You new rates will go info effect the next business day
Updating Your Insurance Documentation at Renewal
After renewal (or early opt-in), you’ll need to download updated documents.
Required Actions
- Log in to your Tint portal
- Download your updated:
- Certificate of Insurance (COI)
- Insurance ID Cards
These documents will reflect your updated information and provider (RVI).

All Off-Trip Insurance plans continue to include:
- Unlimited mileage during off-trip coverage periods

Rent More, Save More (Utilization Factor)
We’ve improved transparency and simplified how utilization impacts pricing. We’re moving to two clear dates per calendar year for utilization calculator, this is what helps you save more the more your cars are rented on Turo. We call it the Rent More, Save More factor.
